Run4ever

Privacy Policy

We built Run4ever as a small indie game project, and we try to handle your data with the same care we would want for our own.

What we collect

When you use Run4ever, we may collect your username, email address, gameplay data and stats, account settings, and purchase-related information needed to process Pro upgrades or other paid features.

Gameplay data can include things like your runners, progress, distances, XP, leaderboard placement, rewards, and similar in-game activity. Payment information is handled through our payment processor, so we do not store full card or wallet credentials on our own servers.

How we use your data

We use this information to run the game, create and maintain your account, show leaderboards and stats, process payments, prevent abuse, improve balance and features, and understand how Run4ever is being used.

In short: your data helps the game work, helps us keep it fair, and helps us make it better over time.

Storage and retention

Your account and gameplay data are stored on our servers for as long as your account remains active, or for as long as reasonably needed to operate the game, resolve disputes, maintain backups, and comply with legal or tax obligations.

If you delete your account, we will aim to remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep limited records for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.

Third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may use trusted processors where needed to operate Run4ever, including Stripe and BTCPay Server for paid features, the configured email provider for transactional messages and notifications, Google Analytics if analytics cookies are accepted, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, and hosting/infrastructure providers for security, delivery, backups, and uptime. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to Run4ever.

Cookies

Run4ever uses essential cookies and similar browser storage tools for login, session handling, security, and core game features. Optional analytics cookies are only used after you accept them, and they help us understand usage patterns and improve the game. Rejecting optional analytics cookies does not disable essential session or security cookies.

Essential cookies: always on for login, security, sessions, and core game features.

Analytics cookies: optional. They only load if you choose Accept.

Your rights

You can contact us to ask what personal data we have about your account, request corrections, or request account deletion. If you want your account removed, we will do our best to process that request promptly, subject to any records we must keep for legitimate legal or operational reasons.

Privacy questions

If you have any privacy-related questions, data requests, or deletion requests, email email.
